APPLICATIONS - DIGITAL PRINTING
Digital printing refers to methods of printing from a digital-based image directly to a variety of media. It usually refers to professional printing where small-run jobs from a computer and other digital sources are printed using large-format and/or high-volume laser or inkjet printers. Digital printing has a higher cost per page than more traditional print methods, but this price is usually offset by avoiding the cost of all the technical steps required to make printing blocks. It also allows for on-demand printing, fast turnaround times, and even a modification of the image used for each print. The savings in labor and the ever-increasing capability of digital presses means that digital printing is reaching the point where it can match or supersede offset printing technology’s ability to produce larger print runs.
APPLICATIONS - Direct To Garment (DTG)
- • Stronger bond between garment fibres and the pigmented inks
- • Lays down loose fibres to provide for a smoother substrate
- • Chemically reacts with the inks to promote drying and curing
Since this is a digital process the print is sharper and has a higher resolution, or DPI, than traditional printing methods such as screen printing. However, unlike screen printing, there is no long setup or clean-up process, and DTG has the ability to print just one single shirt for minimal cost.
APPLICATIONS - SUBLIMATION
Dye-sublimation printing is a form of digital printing technology using full-color artwork that works with polyester and polymer-coated substrates. Also referred to as digital sublimation, the process is commonly used for team wear apparel, signs and banners and other items with sublimation-friendly surfaces. The process uses the science of sublimation, in which heat and pressure are applied to a solid, turning it into a gas through a thermic reaction.
In sublimation printing, unique sublimation dyes are transferred to sheets of “transfer” paper via liquid gel ink through a digital print head. The ink is deposited on these high-release inkjet papers, which are used for the next step of the sublimation printing process. After the digital design is printed onto sublimation transfer sheets, it is placed on a heat press along with the substrate to be sublimated.
APPLICATIONS - EMBROIDERY
Embroidery is the craft of decorating fabrics or other materials using a needle to apply threads. The use of multi-head auto machinery has allow for bulk production processing, reducing labour cost and lead-times.
Embroidery may also incorporate other materials such as pearls, beads, and sequins. Embroidery is usually seen on caps, hats, coats, blankets, dress shirts, teamwear. Embroidery is available with a wide variety of thread color.
APPLICATIONS - AUTO SCREEN PRINTING
Screen printing is a printing technique where a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a substrate, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil. A blade or squeegee is moved across the screen to fill the open mesh apertures with ink, and a reverse stroke then causes the screen to touch the substrate momentarily along a line of contact. This causes the ink to wet the substrate and be pulled out of the mesh apertures as the screen springs back after the blade has passed.
One colour is printed at a time, so several screens can be used to produce a multicoloured image or design. The introduction of automation has made this process highly efficient and lower cost for large volume printing
APPLICATIONS - FUSION TECHNOLOGY
Fabric-to-Fabric, Fabric-to-Membrane, and Fabric-to-Foam adhesives and clothing adhesives are forms of bonding and laminating different substrates for our high-performance products. We use a number of techniques and our own proprietary technology.
APPLICATIONS - LASER CUTTING TECHNOLOGY
Laser Cutting technology, automates the process of cutting out dye sublimation printed pieces of fabric or textile both quickly and accurately, automatically compensating for any distortions or stretches that occur in unstable or stretchy textiles – Exactly the type of fabrics that are used in sportswear.
State of the art camera recognition is used to pinpoint registration marks printed on your material. The marks can be accurately read by our laser system and the position, scale and deformation of the printed material will be compensated due to the intelligent analysis of the registration marks. This means that when the laser cuts your fabric all the pieces will exit the laser cutting conveyor exactly the correct size and shape.
